Vintage German Half Doll Pincushion/Porcelain Flapper Lady Arms Away (#9703)

  
Did a little research (see below -- History). I think this one is from the 1920s--1930s, and is from Germany marked on base -- see pic. 6 There is a number at the base -- which says: 9073. Color on her face is really nice. Y ou can NOT detect this from looking at her hand from the top , but....

Her left hand has a very, very tiny chip on the underside. Only way to really see it or know it is to. Run your finger underneath her hand(see last pic). She's in great shape for being 80+ year's old! Porcelain half dolls reached the height of their popularity between 1900 and 1930.

T he majority of these dolls were made in Germany, with some being produced in Italy, England, France, America and Japan. The earliest half dolls were similar in appearance to 18th-century Meissen dolls with finely sculpted limbs and features.
