Vintage 9.5 googly eye Nobbi 253 baby doll bisque porcelain Armand Marseille

  

We offer for your consideration a gently displayed 9.5 porcelain bisque marked Armand Marseille big googly eye doll with the loveliest highly blushed cheeks and endearing bright smile. She is marked 253 A 6/0 M. I was not able to clearly read the markings on top, but I will add a photo so I hope you are able to read the markings. She is a google eye darling with striking lovely two tone glass eyes.

Her coloring is bright and unfaded. Her big smile brightens up the room; she is truly almost a one of a kind doll with the sweet expression on her face and the beautiful chubby chin and cheeks. Her upper and lower eyelashes are incredible and bold. The eyelid wax is complete and shows some minor age discoloration, but her eyelids are pretty. She is strung somewhat nicely; however, her arms could use restringing or tightening at some point in the future.

They will not hold a pose. Her head holds a pose beautifully. Her legs are well connected. Her limbs are attached with a thick antique string/rope, which is visible on the sides of her arms and upper legs. This doll is one of hundreds of dolls we bought from an adult lady collector downsizing her estate.

Please note, her face is as close to factory fresh as you can find for a vintage doll of this size. You can see from the photos that the bisque on her socket, where her head connects, is free of chips. Her face is free of cracks, hairlines, repairs, or issues. You can see all of the limbs connect with no major damage, chips, cracks, issues or blemishes to the composition. Her composition is as lovely as her charming face. She has beautiful detail to her glass eyes, which are easy open and sleep eyes. The eyelid wax is nice and complete. You can see the composition is mostly true to original form, but it does show age and fading. Her fingers are whole and complete; however, her left thumb shows some minor missing color rubbed off the end. Her outfit is fresh and clean.

It is really an incredible custom made very vintage dress and matching seperate under dress. The hook closure system in the back appears very old.

It appears like it is her original dress, under dress, and matching hat. You can see her hat is pinned on to her hair. Her satiny panties are clean, bright, and sewed on.

Her socks and shoes fit her well, and they are very displayable. They appear like they are original. Her vintage hair is very tidy, a sriking color, and displayable.

She does have her original head plate. It appears that her head plate and hair are original to her. They are now partially removed, so we can stuff her head with tissue to help protect her sleep eye mechanism.
