Beautiful and hard-to-find vintage artist doll marked "Dorothy Friedhoff'83" on her porcelain back. Measuring approximately 9 inches tall, she has a fully porcelain body with jointed construction. She is noticeably substantial and heavier than typical porcelain dolls of this size, reflecting her excellent quality and craftsmanship.

She features stationary inset brown eyes, finely hand-painted facial details, an auburn wig and a charming raised-hand pose. Her carefully constructed wardrobe includes a soft pink dress, white pinafore, multiple lace-trimmed underlayers, pantaloons, knit stockings brown boots accented with pearl-style buttons. The garments have tiny metal snap closures and show wonderful attention to detail. Dorothy Philpott Friedhoff was a North Carolina doll artist and founder of the Duke and Duchess Doll Club. Her artist dolls and antique-style reproductions are sought by collectors.

Very good vintage condition overall. The porcelain presents beautifully with no obvious chips, cracks or repairs observed. The wig has some flyaway strands, and the clothing may show minor wear consistent with age. Please review all photographs closely for condition and details.
