In the late 80's, she started designing for Ashton Drake Galleries and Ultimate Collection, a company that sells molds to doll makers. She stands 24 tall and is outfitted well in her layered country dress with long sleeves; ruffles and bows at the cuffs. The jumper over the dress is tied with a great bow and has ruffled shoulders.
Her waist slip is stiff crinoline material to keep her dress full. Her pantalone's are soft fabric with lace tied at the ankles with a pink ribbon. Her shoes are white and quaint with a flower to accent them. The pretty oversized bonnet sits lightly upon her beautiful red hair braided to keep it in control as one sees the cute curls descend to her freckled cheeks. Her lovely purple eyes look out at the world quizzically as she looks ready for a trip or some new adventure. Dianna Effner was a true artist who specialized in the creation of doll bodies and education on the subjects, she was well respected and loved by many in her field and left behind in 2020 when she passed. This doll was kept in a glass enclosed shelf since new, she is like new as never played with. Her box and papers were lost when my sister passed away.
