Neck Stamped: "DÉPOSÉ Tête Jumeau Bté SGDG 12" and artist checkmarks. Body Blue-Stamped: Jumeau Médaille d'Or Paris. Original Antique Doll - Made in France. Here we have something truly special: an all-original Tete Jumeau Bebe 12 in her original box! She is sweet and in excellent condition, with lovely straight wrists, closed mouth, and typical Jumeau spring-mounted head.

Her bisque is expertly painted, and she has beautiful, high-quality blue paperweight eyes. Her ears are pierced and have carnelian and seed pearl earrings. She has her straight-wrist original body with its original finish and pull-string voice box (currently non-functional).

She has an (older) replaced cork pate and an antique human hair brown wig. She is wearing her original cotton floral dress, antique underwear and socks, and signed Jumeau shoes. On her dress is a Bebe pin (added later) with a heart dangle. She quite the gal, perfect for a serious Jumeau collector!

Beautiful antique condition -- from a non-smoking environment. No issues found with the bisque after careful examination, other than an ear flake on left earring hole and possibly a hint of one on the right side as well. Voice box is currently non-functional.

Body has typical scuffing at hip joints, but otherwise is in great condition with no paint or repairs. The head has some dripped glue on the inside (visible with UV lighting -- these are drips from the pate, NOT repairs).

As pictured, she also has a filled mold opening on the back of her neck -- probably for an eye lever, which is not uncommon. Her original cotton floral dress is in great condition only a few flea bites, but free of repairs and condition problems. The Jumeau shoes are in excellent condition, free of leather tears or other problems. The box shows significant age, but it is holding together, with a few repairs, notably recent reinforcement on the inside of the lid. And the lid is consequently a bit tight, so it must be taken on and off with care.

The box is complete with its original tie ribbons and no pieces missing other than the internal tissue paper. The label on the inside of the lid has some pencil doodles, as pictured -- apparently the work of a child. IMPORTANT: Besides the noteworthy issues mentioned above, EXPECT any antique doll (bisque/composition/leather/china/wood) to ALSO have: (1) SIGNS OF AGE - for example: toned/crazed/chipped composition, minor wig pulls, loss of "hair" lashes on bisque heads, not-so-tight stringing, etc. (2) MINOR CONSERVATION WORK by previous owners/collectors - for example: reset eyes in most cases! , repairs to wig, repairs to clothing, touch-ups on composition/finish/paint, etc.

Any MAJOR issues -- hairline crack, total repaint, etc. - would be itemized above, but these normal age/conservation details are not. They are to be expected. I'LL BE GLAD TO ANSWER. Provided it's rated the same (or faster) than the service you chose.

As often happens, it's the few bad apples out there who ruin it for the rest of us. Not knowing what they're doing. And then, when they realize they've ruined the doll, they return it saying it was defective. BUT HAVING SAID ALL THAT.. I do bend over backwards, attempting to disclose any noteworthy condition issues I can find or think of.

But these are antique and vintage dolls -- so, please understand that they won't be in brand-new condition. There will always be some minor indication of their age, and it would be impossible to itemize every single pinhead-size stain on the outfit, or hairline scratch on the body.
