Vintage Wood & Bisque Porcelain Doll
Vintage Wood & Bisque Porcelain Doll. A lovely doll of a little girl probably dating to around the 1900's.
It is hollow bodied and fully jointed but for the legs which have no knee joint. The dolls eyes close when laid down. She wears a green dress, a coat, shoes, a knitted bonnet & gloves and undergarments. I can see no marks on the back of the head. The doll has a height of 39.5cm (15 ½ inches) and weighs 500g. The eye movement is a little stiff, the hair is thinning in parts, there is a chip to the plaster to the top of one leg and she is missing one finger. Both the doll and the clothes are a little grubby in parts but aside from these things the doll is overall in a nice condition for her age.
