Vintage Baby Doll by Nan McNay for Royal House of Dolls New York. This doll is a reproduction of the original Bye-Lo baby doll sculpted by Grace Storey Putnam in 1920. She was inspired by a three day old little baby girl.
The first Bye-Lo baby doll was manufactured in 1925 by the Geo. This doll was made entirely in the USA. She was made by hand of fine porcelain bisque. Each section was carefully hand tinted with special China paint to make her look as life like as possible. She was made exclusively for Royal House of Dolls, Inc. By Nan McNay of New York. Created with love to bring joy to your heart. Doll is in original Pink box, laying on her pillow. She and all of her clothing are still attached by one or two stitches to the Blue pillow she's laying on. She comes with a diaper, baby blanket, and two long gown outfits with matching diaper covers. Since this item is vintage, some of her clothing has yellowed over time. Still, she's in beautiful vintage condition! A must for any collector as these dolls are very hard to find doll sets.If you have any questions or concerns please drop me a note.
