Amelie is a true reproduction of the dolls from the beginning of [the 20th century]; her head, made from biscuit porcelain is a reproduction of a Bebe Jumeau, & her body is of fully articulated wood, which calls for particularly complex skills in its manufacture. Her wig is made from a fiber akin to mohair, but without its. Her dress is made using satin & fine lace, & is embellished with hand-crafted rosettes & small beads.
