Fine lace petticoats and underlayers. Coordinated hat with floral trim. Period-accurate silhouette (late Victorian walking dress). This outfit was not cheap or casual-someone knew what they were doing. The handwritten note matters (a LOT).

The note inside reads (paraphrased). The'Gibson Girl' came upon the fashion scene about 1885 to 1900. She was a more active young woman, working for her living & enjoyed bicycle riding. This was made for collectors.
