BRU JNE Bebe Jumeau Repro. Dolls By Mary Benner, was established in 1992. We are a very small family business with myself, Mary Benner, being the artist and designer of all the lovely dolls. She started making porcelain dolls as a hobby in 1989, over the past 20 years she has made hundreds of dolls.

When she looks back at pictures of her early dolls, they look quite primitive compared to the award winning masterpieces she creates now. Her husband of 36 years, Allen, pours the molds for most of her dolls and he is also the fantastic photographer of her dolls! Her daughter, Marlee, helps her with her books. Mary Benner specializes mostly one of a kind antique replicas and occasionally - time allowing - her all original (sculpted by her) artist dolls.

She started sculpting dolls in 1996 and at that time her husband Allen and herself made all of their rough molds by hand, a very tedious job. However, the past few years, since the birth of their grandchildren, Mary has not had much time to sculpt and design original dolls. Her antique replicas are her true love and she never gets tired of making them. Unfortunately though, because her time is so limited now, she is only able to make a small number of dolls a year. Because of the great value attached to the Bru dolls, they are reproduced by artist more than other antique dolls.

This item is Brand New Mint Condition. She has never been removed from her box.

She has never been'owned' by anyone. She has a porcelain head, hands, feet with a soft cloth body for extra huggability. We are pretty sure this doll is a limited edition but we cannot locate the COA, and is believed to be somewhere tucked inside and cannot be reached without removing her from the box but we do not know. She comes with her stand.
