In the mid 1980's MGM who produced the classic movie, Gone with the Wind in 1937, gave Franklin Heirloom dolls the first ever authorization to make a doll portraying Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara. Then came Clark Gable as Rhett Butler. Great attention was paid to the fine details of their clothing as designed by Walter Plunkett for the film. They will come with individual stands plus Certificates of Authenticity for each doll and full 8-1/2 X 11 color brochures. You will also receive the original offer letter from Franklin Heirloom Dolls (a Franklin Mint Company) describing the first doll with an order by date of April 20th, 1985.

Though definitely not new, these 19 inch dolls are in excellent condition and have been on display in my air conditioned, smoke free home since they arrived new some 40 years ago. A wonderful addition to your doll or Gone with the Wind Collection.
