RARE Vtg Virginia Turner Porcelain MARK Doll (1987)-LE 121/450-Twin Listed Also. Virginia's doll making career began in 1981 with Virginia's Very Own, a line of reproduction porcelain dolls. In 1986, Virginia and family moved to a 40-acre farm in Indiana, where she began to manufacture her dolls from there. MARK is dated in 1987, a very early porcelain creation doll, and he has a TWIN SISTER MEGAN, listed separately for sale, both have been numbered 121/450 on their neck. Mark is dressed in a pale peachy tone romper with a brown tie at the collar. His socks and shoes are white and in fine shape.

His arms and legs move, but he is not poseable. His head does not move. He is adorable, pretty face with open nostrils, has an auburn short hair style. I could not find any issues to report on the doll or his outfit.

Mark sits in a nice chair with green velvet backing, (and the twin, listed separately, doll's chair matches identically). I took a lot of photos, so please take a long look, I hope you enjoy them. I have looked for days for more info on this doll on the internet, to no avail. As stated, the twin doll Megan is listed too, and I would like to keep them together if possible since they have the same number and display very well together. Please note the COA with all pertinent information, especially "Virginia's Very Own" which dates this little doll to the very first dolls created by the magnificent doll creator Virginia Ehrlich Turner. I don't have his original box, but he will have a sturdy box when its time for him to travel. Remember the doll and the chair means its a kinda big box!
