Fine! Antique German Porcelain Half 1/2 Doll Lamp Boudoir Flapper Art Deco

  
This is just a stunning and all-original, German, Art Deco, Porcelain, Boudoir Half-Doll Lamp. It is rare to find such a pretty, stylish one, and especially one that is so intact and in great condition. Every single bit of this is original. The hand-stitched cream colored silk satin gown with black silk ribbon gown straps and trim; the original armature and lamp parts and cord and plug, and of course the handpainted porcelain doll...

Amazingly, it is in near mint condition. I searched all over it and could only find one tiny flaw; a pin-prick sized hole in the satin... The condition is kind of astoun ding. No stains or chips or losses or anything.

And the lamp still works, too. As a lamp it is so fun to look at, very glowy through the satin; sets a very sweet and charming mood. I would recommend having it re-wired, as any 1920's wiring is about 100 years old, and it just seems wise to update it. The style is also exceptionally nice. The doll has not one, but 3! Beautiful spanish curls against her pretty face, so fetching. And she has the a la mode, flapper era, red lips and smoky eyeshadow. She has a sleek, flapper hairstyle, yet her gown is really a bit more Art Deco, streamlined and elegant, so I suspect she was made between 1920 and 1925. In one of the photos I placed her on a piece of black glass, and that really highlights her Art Deco features. In another photo she sits on a wood table, which seems to highlight the beautiful colors and mix of materials. This is a very special half doll lamp, with great style and beauty...
