This Charming boy doll from my personal collection was made by C. Bergmann in Waltershausen, Germany, and distributed in the USA by Louis Wolf.
The bisque head is marked C. No chips, cracks or hairlines. Blue sleep-eyes with mohair lashes (some loss of lashes). The excellent ball-jointed composition body shows minor wear and has minor touch-up paint at joints. Hands have likely been repainted but match body very well.
The doll is dressed in a boy's outfit (not old) typical of boy's clothes for the early 1900s. The military style jacket is black velveteen with brass snaps. The knee length pants are black and white houndstooth. The one-piece drop-seat underwear garment is vintage. The turtle neck is cotton. The almost new finely made soft leather black and white lace-up boots co-ordinate with his outfit. From a smoke-free and pet-free home. Please examine the pictures as they are part of the description. Thanks for checking out my listing. I will soon be listing many antique dolls (mostly German, several French), doll clothes, doll furniture, doll dishes, etc.
