Antique German Half Doll Pin Cushion 7 Marie Antoinette beaded dress/tulle

  
This is a lovely antique half doll pincushion for your boudoir or display/collection. She is a real beauty. Most likely she is marked Germany under the bottom but I would never take this piece apart to see the marks, it is too nice to tamper with! VERY NICE sewing work on the pincushion base with ALL the original mint condition tulle and beading. The porcelain doll top resembles my'made in Germany' half dolls so I will assume she is also antique Made in Germany. Her style is an arms away/ raised and she is dressed in an 18th century style, complete with a Marie Antoinette hair style. Her blue ribbon and blue trim on her dress is nicely intact. There is no visible damage such as cracks or chips but is a dark line on head, age related darkened crack possibly. See photos for complete description. She is 7" tall and around 7" in diameter at base. What really sets this piece apart is the gorgeous hand beaded trim which is perfectly intact, not loose and no beads missing. They are a really nice trim of glass beads that compliment the dolls coloring. A bit of velvet ribbon encircles her waist.

As you can see in the last photo, she was part of an estate collection of dolls and she was part of the pin cushion dolls. This pincushion doll is a real original beauty, display her in your boudoir or in a cabinet.

The two layers of tulle on her dress have grayed with age, ditto the pretty golden aged dress fabric, which has age expected marks and yellowing. The pin cushion is muslin and has yellowed somewhat with age as well.

Other than age appropriate discoloring there are no rips--other than wear and tear to under lining of dress.
