17 Tete Jumeau Bébé #7. Closed Mouth / Stamped Body. Stamped: "DÉPOSÉ Tête Jumeau Bté SGDG 7" and artist checkmarks. Original Antique Doll - Made in France. This is a very lovely size 7 Tête Jumeau bébé with red-stamped head on a neck spring, closed mouth, and pierced ears. She is on her original blue-stamped Jumeau body with pull-string crier (currently non-working). The face is wonderfully painted, and she has dazzling blue paperweight eyes. She has a replaced cork pate with a lovely, long Wendy Feidt blonde mohair wig. The outfit is very old -- original to the doll. She has a matching hat, earrings, and quality antique socks and shoes. She's all dressed up and ready to travel!

Beautiful antique condition -- from a non-smoking environment. No issues found with the bisque after careful examination.

Her antique body is in original and very good condition and shows typical wear and chips at the joints appropriate for her age. The blue Jumeau stamp is faint due to age and, as mentioned, the crier is currently not working...

Which is normal for Jumeaus of this era. The original outfit is showing its age but in good shape. IMPORTANT: Besides the noteworthy issues mentioned above, EXPECT any antique doll (bisque/composition/leather/china/wood) to ALSO have: (1) SIGNS OF AGE - for example: toned/crazed/chipped composition, minor wig pulls, loss of "hair" lashes on bisque heads, not-so-tight stringing, etc. (2) MINOR CONSERVATION WORK by previous owners/collectors - for example: reset eyes in most cases! , repairs to wig, repairs to clothing, touch-ups on composition/finish/paint, etc.
