Vintage Hertel Schwab bisque character porcelain doll antique 8 cabinet

We offer for your consideration a gently displayed 8" to 9" bisque porcelain Hertel and Schwab character baby doll with a lovely dome head. Her perfectly rounded realistic baby face with a chubby chin, her feathered eyebrows, and her dark eyelashes remind me of the French market dolls. She is a perfect size for your cabinet or showcase.

Her condition is exceptionally clean and stunning with highly blushed cheeks and engaging dark sleep eyes. You can see her pretty tongue peeking out from behind her totally intact beginning of tiny teeth. Take a look at her dark well defined upper and lower lashes.

Her hint of pink highlights in her nostrils are a perfect addition to an incredible doll. The eyelid wax is mostly complete. Her clean composition body appears very intact and displayable. Her face, torso, arms, legs, and toes are clean, complete, and still unfaded; however, she only has partial pinky fingers on both hands. You can see that the ends of her fingers and toes are faded.

Please note the minor fading of color on the top of her neck, and also at the junction between upper arms and shoulders. She is complete and whole with no tears, rips, or obvious stains. Her body was very nicely preserved. This doll is one of hundreds of dolls we bought from an adult lady collector downsizing her estate.

Please note, her face and body are very displayable for a vintage antique baby doll. Her eyelid wax is close to the original appearance.

Her sleep eyes open and close smoothly. The head measures 7.5 around. The owner was an elderly lady and kept this doll displayed in her showcase, so she appears free of dust and fading.

You can see the velvet romper and matching beret hat are a vintage antique style with no obvious wear or age, I do see some minor loose threads on the back of the romper's lace trim. It is vintage and pretty with well attached snap buttons and stretchy elastic at the leg openings. Her diaper is pinned on to her torso. This doll is brought to you by a pet and smoke free home and estate. You can feel confident with us.
