" price is an EXQUISITE VINTAGE "THE LETTER IRISH DRESDEN LADY PORCELAIN FIGURINE! A UNIQUELY FASHIONED porcelain figurine, such beautiful examples of this type are getting harder and harder to find, and this RARE EXAMPLE is sure to appeal to both doll and porcelain collectors alike------it is just GORGEOUS!

This lovely figurine measures a total of 7 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" wide across with a bottom base measuring 6" by 5", and features a very beautiful lady writing a letter while seated at her desk! She wears an ELABORATELY FASHIONED blue netted porcelain gown with large ruffled cuffs edged with white ruffled netting and beautifully PAINTED FLORAL embellishments adorning her sleeves, and tiny porcelain YELLOW ROSES are strewn on the gown front! Her bodice is painted blue with a decorative molded LILAC BOW, and the color theme is matched with molded trim around the top of her sleeve cuffs and cap that sits on the top of her head, as well as in her painted slippers peeping out from under her gown! This beautiful lady has painted dark brown hair with molded curls, demurely downcast painted BLUE EYES with light blue eye shadow, subtly blushed cheeks with high cheekbones and the daintiest of upturned red lips! Her hands are femininely molded as they are posed on the desk with porcelain pen in her fingers, and you can see she is in the midst of writing a letter; note the little porcelain GILDED INKWELL!

The chair and desk she sits at are ROCOCO STYLE with heavily GILDED EMBELLISHMENTS painted in 14k gold. The chair has a beautifully rounded back with light pink painted upholstery on the front and hand painted PINK ROSE on the back, and the desk has cabriole legs with the same pink rose as the chair painted on the inside back and the most gorgeous colorful FLORAL BOUQUET hand painted on the exterior back----its FANCY FRENCH appeal is just lovely! As with many of these figurines there are some unavoidable breakage to parts of the lace netting, but considering its age it is minimal; otherwise there are no chips, cracks, hairlines or restorations-----just EXQUISITE! The figurine is positioned on its own large DECORATIVE BASE that is light pink in color with gold painted trim, and underneath it bears.

The signature mark of the blue stamped DRESDEN CROWN with the letters "MZ" and "Irish Dresden" with the name of the figurine "THE LETTER" and "The Lilac Collection" scripted in blue ink! We are showing this lovely figurine displayed next to our antique 16 French Fashion doll (not included in this offering) for not only scale purposes, but to demonstrate how STUNNING these wonderful figurines look as companions to antique dolls----- the PERFECT COMPLIMENT to any bisque or porcelain collection!
