Unless otherwise stated, all the dolls in this collection are genuine, antique, vintage dolls. It is time to find new homes and new caretakers for these unusual and, hard-to-find, rare porcelain half dolls. A very small group of manufacturers were innovative in producing a different style doll... They were not half figures as most half dolls are.

They were modeled as full figured birds with long tail feathers, animals with long extended tails, and full-length, reclining humans. This long doll is a lovely 1920s Flapper, bathing beauty in a bathing costume or negligee made of actual lace.

She has painted lilac hose on her long slender legs and is wearing black bathing slippers. Her arms are seductively posed with her hands beneath her head, and she has a beautifully modeled and painted face. As to the function of these long dolls, they were sewn onto nightgown cases, boudoir pillows, pincushions, powder puffs and powder pats. So, they served as beautiful, decorative and useful "handles" for common vanity items in a lady's boudoir.
