This doll was produced in 1987 by Emily who is a "Master Doll Maker" and a true artist. Most any advanced collector will recognize who she is. You can view her web site on the internet and see many of her dolls from over the years.
This doll has a porcelain head with brown paperweight eyes. Her skin is a pale peachy color and looks very life like. As you can see, Emily's hand painted feature are of perfection!
The head is placed on a fully articulated composition body of the same coloration that has a feel of porcelain about it. Emily dressed many of her creations (as this is) in costumes made by Mary Lambeth who was a seamstress who made antique reproduction clothing for dolls for over 25 years.
She used mostly antique silks and laces and Emily provided her with many of the fabrics she had collected over the years. Most of the costumes are enhanced with delicate ribbonwork flowers. The doll has undergarments, (a slip and pantaloons of cotton) and knitted stockings. Her hair is of platinum blonde mohair. She has a tiny crystal beaded necklace.
The shoes are handmade of silk. This doll is 20 tall (not including the bonnet). She is of a Halopeau #5H mold and signed and dated by Emily Hart on the back of her neck.
She has been well taken care of and displayed in a smoke free home. The item "Antique Reproduction Porcelain Doll by Emily Hart Costume by Mary Lambeth" is in sale since Thursday, April 11, 2019.
